Product Details

The thick, consistent lubricant does not liquefy or separate with hot aging
It scoops and applies easily to wire and cable without runs or drips in hot temperatures
It will not evaporate too soon after pulls
The lubricant's low friction coefficient lessens the chance of wire damage from high pulling forces, wipes off the cable quickly and cleanly and leaves less residue in the conduit to block future pulls or prevent removal

3M Wire pulling lubricant in gray color produces low coefficient friction that reduces damage of cable jacket damage from high pulling forces. It makes wire pulling jobs smoother and safer. Liquid lubricant can be applied to wire and cable without runs or drips in hot temperatures. Lubricant wipes off the cable quickly/cleanly and leaves no residues in the conduit. Lubricant gel has a composition of water, polyethylene glycol, glycols, polypropylene, sodium polyacrylate and paraffin wax. It has a boiling point of 100 deg C and freezing point of 32 deg F. It has a pH rating ranging from 6.5 to 8.5 pHs and is completely soluble in water. It can be immersed in water for 30 min with minimal weight loss. Lubricant wax has a specific gravity of 1.01 and temperature rating ranging from 12 to 90 deg C. Lubricant with 0.9 - 1.1 vapor density can withstand a vapor pressure of 18 mm Hg at 20 deg C. it has a viscosity rating ranging from 65000 to 100000 cP. Lubricant comes in a bottle of capacity 1 qt and is widely used for pulling variety of cables types, including power, control, instrumentation and communication cables. It is also ideal for wet weather applications and does not evaporate too soon after pulls. Lubricant is E162404 UL listed and CSA certified. It is RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant.
