Phoenix Surge protection base element in black color is mainly designed for two-wire floating signal circuit with a protective plug PT. It acts as a bridge between 3 - 4 ground and 9 - 10 connections and can be used for mounting on NS 35/7.5 and NS 35/15. It measures 17.7 mm x 52 mm x 89.8 mm and has 17.5 mm wide housing. The complete module measures 90 mm x 17.7 mm x 65.5 mm and 1 divisional housing pitch. It operates at -40 to 85 deg C temperature. It is UL 94 V0 Inflammability rated and provides IP20 deg of protection against the intrusion. Surge protection base element is DIN rail mounted for easy installation. It has two-section, divisible configuration.

Surge protection base element connection has 0.2 to 2.5 sq-mm conductor cross-section stranded and 0.2 to 4 sq.mm conductor cross section solid. It has 24 - 12 AWG conductor cross section. Surge protection base element has screw terminal blocks in/out connection type and M5 screw thread. It has 0.5 N-m tightening torque and 8 mm stripping length. Surge protection base element is UL/cUL/cULus listed, CSA certified and meets ETIM/UNSPSC standards.
