Thomas & Betts Shrink-Kon® HS Series Heavy wall 3:1 ratio heat shrinkable tubing in black color is made of thermally stabilized cross-linked polyolefin and comes with thermoplastic adhesive liner. It offers protection against moisture and used over lead, steel, aluminum, copper, standard plastic and elastomeric insulating materials. Tubing offers effective method for sealing 8 - 6 AWG cable ends and pipe conduit. It withstands severe mechanical requirements of U.R.D, submersible and direct burial installations. Tubing measures 0.510 Inch diameter x 6 Inch. It elongates up to 600% of the original size after heating and can recover +1%, -10% longitudinal change.

Tubing adhesive softens at 90 +/-5 deg C and shrinks at a temperature of 120 deg C. It has hardness rating of 50 D and has dielectric strength of 500 V/mil. It fits aluminum/copper splice with maximum length of 1.750-Inch. Tubing has tensile strength of 14.5 MPa and specific gravity of 1.1. It is rated for voltage of 600 Volts. It has continues operating temperature rating of -55 to 110 deg C. It comes with water absorption capacity of 0.1% and volume resistivity of 10^16 Ohm/cm. It can withstand temperature rating of 250 deg C for up to 4 hours without being cracking/flowing. It has recovered wall thickness of 0.090-Inch for excellent fluid resistance. Tubing is UL listed/CSA certified and is RoHS compliant.
