NSI EASY-SPLICE™ HWHS-Series Heavy wall heat shrink in black color is made of specially designed polyolefin that is irradiated and thermally stabilized to provide an elastic memory. It has adhesive interior coating that ensures watertight seal after shrinking. It has a thickness of 0.160 Inch and length of 9 inches. It can withstand 1000 Volts and has operating temperature of 121 to 135 deg C. It has minimum shrink temperature of 250 to 275 deg F. It provides minimum diameter expansion of 2.000 inches and maximum diameter recovery of 0.630 inches. It accommodates wires of size 500 - 250 kcmil.
Heat shrink is designed to tightly cover and perfectly mould on to irregular shapes. It is ideal for use on standard poly or elastomeric jacketed cables that may include aluminum/steel armoring. It is used in jacket repair splice cover applications. It is used in submersible and direct burial applications. Heat shrink is CSA certified, UL listed, RUS approved and meets ANSI standards.
